Hancock Park

city hall 010Hancock Park is located just of the square at the corner of North Park Street and Warwick city hall 001Street.  Hancock Park offers a place for residents and visitors to gather.  It is used not only as a relaxing green space but also has a newly built pavilion that is used for downtown events and festivals. The park has large pecan trees, adult swings, and is home to the City of Dahlonega's Maibaum Tree, a visual depiction of the city's history.  Also, the "First Friday Night Concert Series" and the Dahlonega Farmers' Market invite residents and visitors to bring friends and family for fun in Downtown Dahlonega.  The pavilion is available for rental.  Please check the calendar for availability of the pavilion and download a rental application.  Reservations can be made at City Hall.

City Hall Park

City Hall Park is located a 465 Riley Road next door to City Hall.  This park includes two pavilions, swings, and children's play area.  The pavilions can be reserved for special events.  To check availability please follow the two links below.  Reservations must be made in person at City Hall.

Lake Zwerner and Yahoola Creek Reservoir

This park is located north of downtown along Morrison Moore Parkway East.  Yahoola Creek Reservoir provides most of the City of Dahlonega's water supply along with a great recreational area.  The lake offers fishing, mountain and lake side walking trails, and picnic areas.

 
Madeleine K. Anthony Park

m anth park 1Madeleine K. Anthony Park is located at the corner of South Chestatee Street and Morrison Moore Parkway.  This park m anth park 2was named for Madeleine K. Anthony for her historic preservation and tourism development efforts along with her dedicated public service to the City of Dahlonega, Georgia.  The park includes a public pavilion, beautiful trees, and flowering bushes.
